The Power of Constellations: Discovering My 21 Disciples
The power of constellations is a concept that has been around for centuries, and it has been used as a tool for self-discovery and healing. Constellations are a way to explore our subconscious mind and bring to light unconscious patterns and beliefs that may be holding us back. The use of constellations can help us to identify our strengths and weaknesses, and give us insight into how we can better navigate our lives.
I recently had the opportunity to attend a workshop on constellations in Thailand. The workshop was led by a skilled facilitator who had been trained in Germany. I was initially skeptical about the effectiveness of constellations, but as the workshop progressed, I became more and more intrigued by the power of this tool.
During the workshop, we were divided into groups, and each group was assigned a specific topic to work on. My group was tasked with exploring our family dynamics, specifically the relationship between parents and children. We were asked to pick a parent and a child and create a “constellation” using a group of people who were present at the workshop.
The facilitator began the exercise by asking us a series of questions about our relationship with our chosen parent or child. We were then asked to choose representatives from the group to stand in as the parent and child. As we watched, the facilitator asked the representatives to position themselves in relation to each other, asking them to pay attention to any physical sensations or emotions that they experienced as they did so.
As the representatives moved around the room, I began to notice a pattern emerging. The way that the parent and child positioned themselves in relation to each other was very similar to the way that they interacted in real life. The facilitator then began to talk to the representatives, asking them to share their thoughts and feelings about their relationship with each other.
As the representatives spoke, I found myself being deeply moved by their stories. I realized that I had been carrying unresolved issues within myself that were holding me back in my own life. Through the use of constellations, I was able to identify these issues and begin to work through them.
For me, the most powerful part of the workshop was when we were asked to create a “constellation” of our 21 disciples. The number 21 holds special significance in Thai culture as it has been used historically to represent a group of important figures. The idea behind the exercise was to create a constellation that represented our inner circle of support and guidance.
As we began to create our constellation, I started to feel an overwhelming sense of connection to the people in the room. I realized that we were all on a similar journey of self-discovery and healing. We were all searching for answers to life’s big questions, and we were all willing to be vulnerable and open ourselves up to the process.
As we placed our “disciples” in the constellation, we were asked to give each one a name and describe what they represented to us. Some people chose family members, friends, or mentors, while others chose abstract concepts like courage, love, or intuition.
As we looked at our completed constellation, I realized that I had a powerful network of support in my life. Although the people and concepts that we had chosen were all different, they were all connected by a common thread of love and support. I felt a sense of gratitude and appreciation for the people in my life, and I made a commitment to nurture those relationships and to continue to seek out new connections and opportunities for growth.
The workshop on constellations was a profound experience for me. Through the use of this powerful tool, I was able to gain insight into my own patterns and beliefs and identify areas where I needed to work on myself. I also gained a deeper appreciation for the people in my life who provide me with love and support, and I made a commitment to nurture those relationships.
If you are someone who is interested in self-discovery and personal growth, I highly recommend exploring the concept of constellations. Whether you are looking to explore your family dynamics, your professional relationships, or your innermost thoughts and beliefs, constellations can be an incredibly powerful tool for transformation and healing. I encourage you to seek out a workshop or facilitator who can guide you through the process and help you unlock your own inner wisdom and potential.
